Meet the founder
Courtney Kocak
Courtney Kocak is a Los Angeles-based writer, podcaster, and comedian. She’s the creator and curator of the popular Podcast Bestie newsletter. She hosts two podcasts: Private Parts Unknown, about love and sexuality around the world, which has over 1.5 million downloads to day, and The Bleeders, about book writing and publishing. Courtney has produced top podcasts for PayPal, Girlboss, the Bella Twins, and more. Her KCRW radio story about Maebe A. Girl, the first drag queen elected to public office in the U.S., won an LA Press Club award for gender/LGBT reporting. As a writer, her bylines include The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, Cosmopolitan, InsideHook, and more. Courtney reports on gender, sexuality, psychedelics, reproductive rights, sex work, and sustainability. She’s the proud mother of a 12-year-old boxer-pit named Georgia.
